Plus you can get gamepass for access to both. strategy, and planning to have a strong enough base to survive as. They're just not as relevant to Infinite specifically. Weaknesses: Banshees fear the Crucifix and will be less aggressive when near one. Play 1-3, then 4 and 5 if you like, and then if you're still feeling up for more Halo, try ODST and Reach as well. ODST kind of covers a small thing that happened in 2, and Reach is a prequel that leads right into CE. Reach and ODST you can skip if you'd like but they're good games too. Like all of them are like 8 or less hours long. If it was a huge time sink I'd not recommend it, but they're all pretty short games honestly. Going through 343 guilty spark and learning what the halo ring was for the first time was incredible. Also halo CE had incredible story telling for a FPS. Halo didn't have health packs again until ODST. In CE you needed health packs, but that mechanic was lost after MW4 became a hit. It will also make The Weapon more interesting I think too. Cod actually did the regenerating health mechanic. The story will explain itself just fine, but having had the relationship with cortana would I think definitely enhance your experience as her disappearance is so important to this game apparently. Then if you like them, 4 is kind of relevant to the central conflict of this game, and 5 is probably one you can skip, but it's probably the shortest game of all of them.

Additions include Firefight, 15 new skulls to modify campaign missions, new weapons, armor and other customization options, new graphics features like ray-traced SSR, and a new MCC validation system, which makes it incredibly easy to install if you own Halo CE Anniversary for the Master Chief Collection.

They've aged very well, and even if CE feels a bit old for you, 2 will feel better (Especially with Anniversary graphics), and 3 will also feel really good. The SPV3.3 update to Halo CE brings a huge amount of new features to the acclaimed mod. It would be a great idea to play 1-3 on normal (or heroic, which is the intended difficulty, if you play a lot of shooters). As well, the MP beta did give me the vibe that 343 found their groove after two rockier entries so I'm still excited. To not sound entirely skeptical, I want to believe that the footage was at least on a lower difficulty which would explain the tepid behavior of the enemies. I know this is just the first video so there could obviously be footage that carries a different tone/atmosphere, surely. On that note, I was also hoping for a more mysterious atmosphere vs. The skill tree is whatever and I was hoping for more of a Metroid Prime influence vs Far Cry/AC, but c'est la vie. Interior environments will probably play the best in terms of enemy count, encounter, level design, etc. I'm fully speculating that lower enemy counts will be scattered throughout the world to make it seem less barren.

I expect the encampments/bases to play similar to each other. How that might play in an open world environment remains to be seen. Bungie's campaigns excelled so much in part because of the level design, AI, and encounters all complimenting each other in the sandbox. I have a lot of skepticism on this, the AI is going to have to do some real heavy lifting during encounters.ģ43 has yet to beat let alone match the original trilogies campaigns.
